This is a “what if” illustration from your own statement, not investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or switch any scheme. Redemptions often had good reasons – a goal reached, an emergency, a rebalance – and this page cannot see them. What you upload stays in your browser; only if you download the PDF report are your name, email and report sent to PortfolioCube, so we can email you a copy.

Redemption Analysis · Version 1.1.0 · Last updated: 1 Nov 2026

1Your statement

Upload a statement with your transactions. Opened from the Advanced Portfolio Health Check? Your statement is already loaded below; press Show my Redemption Analysis to see the analysis.

Which statement? The Consolidated Account Statement from CAMS or KFintech (detailed, since inception) gives the full picture. An MF Central detailed CAS covers its own period; the MF Utilities CAN-based statement (CoTS) covers orders placed through MFU. A summary statement has no transactions, so it cannot be used here. Password-protected PDFs are fine.

Get every folio: when you request your CAS from CAMS or KFintech, enter your PAN. A statement asked for by email alone lists only the folios registered with that email, so funds bought with an older email ID can be missing from your analysis, along with any redemptions made in them. (The MF Central CAS is already PAN-based.)

Two statements? You can add a second CAS — e.g. an MF Central and a CAMS / KFintech statement, or your spouse’s — and see one combined view. Holdings found in both are counted once; everything is valued on the later statement’s date. Only fund data is used: names, PAN, email and address are ignored and never stored.

Missing old folios? A CAS lists only folios linked to the email (or PAN) it was requested with, so folios closed long ago – often the ones you redeemed – can be missing. If you use Value Research, download My Investments → Transactions → Mutual Funds, All-time as Excel and add it here, as it is. With a CAS, only schemes missing from the CAS are added. Without a CAS, the file works on its own (holdings valued at the latest NAVs). The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

Funds in your statement (filled from the statement you upload; empty until then)

The Redemption Analysis uses the transactions in your statement; this table shows which funds were read. Clear all removes the statement and the analysis, so you can upload a different one.

Thinking about your next redemption?

Before money comes out again, a personal review looks at the goal it is for, exit loads and tax, and which fund it should come from, so the rest of the portfolio keeps compounding.

This Redemption Analysis is an illustrative “what if” calculation from your own statement and AMFI NAVs. It ignores exit loads and taxes, IDCW the redeemed units would have earned, and what the redeemed money did afterwards. It does not constitute investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or switch any scheme. Past returns do not guarantee future returns. Redemption Analysis: what would your mutual funds be worth if you had never sold?

A FREE “what if you had stayed invested” check, with complete privacy.

Most investors redeem at some point: to meet a goal, in an emergency, to book profits or out of worry when markets fall. Few ever find out what that money would be worth today if it had stayed invested. The PortfolioCube Redemption Analysis works it out from your own statement in a couple of minutes, completely free: no sign-up, no login and nothing to install.

Every redemption in your statement, whether in one go or through a Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP), is put back. Those units stay invested to your statement date and are valued at the NAV published by AMFI for each date. Purchases, SIPs, switches, STPs and dividend (IDCW) payouts stay exactly as they happened, so the only difference between the two portfolios is the money you took out.

Exclusive to PortfolioCube. In our research of popular Indian mutual fund apps and portfolio trackers (October 2026), we did not find any other tool that shows what your redeemed units would be worth today had you stayed invested, scheme by scheme, from your own statement and inside your browser.

What you get, free

1. Redemption Summary PortfolioCube Framework

Four numbers that tell the story: the amount you received from your redemptions (with how many redemptions, from how many schemes and between which dates), the value now of what you still hold in those schemes, their value if not redeemed, and your gain from staying invested, with a one-line plain-English summary.

2. No-redemption Journey

3. Your Money and Returns

Money put in, money taken out, value now and total gain for the no-redemption portfolio; the redemption, switch and STP amounts in the period; and XIRR, index CAGR and Alpha from YTD to All years.

4 and 5. Asset Allocation and Portfolio Distribution if not redeemed

How the no-redemption portfolio would be split across Equity, Hybrid, Debt and Gold & Silver and by fund category, and its CAMS / KFintech distribution by fund house or scheme.

6. Audit: schemes with redemptions

One row for every scheme you redeemed from: number and dates of redemptions, units and amount received, value now, value if not redeemed (units × NAV, with the NAV date), the gain from staying invested, and the scheme’s XIRR as it happened and if not redeemed. Sort by any column.

Which statements work

A summary statement lists only today’s holdings, with no transactions, so redemptions cannot be found in it.

How to use the tool

  1. Coming from the Advanced Portfolio Health Check? If your statement shows redemptions, the report there ends with a Redemption Analysis card. Click Open Redemption Analysis and your statement opens here in the same browser tab, without uploading it again.
  2. Or upload your statement here: click Upload CAS (PDF) and enter the PDF password if asked. When you request the CAS, enter your PAN, so no folio is missed.
  3. Read your analysis. Once your statement is read, press Show my Redemption Analysis; the analysis appears below the upload and fills in while daily NAVs are loaded. Use the buttons under the version line to jump to any section.
  4. Explore: switch periods, compare with BSE Sensex or NSE Nifty 50, click any date for the holdings that day, and sort the audit table.
  5. Save or share: click the printer icon to download the PDF, or have it emailed to you.

What the analysis does not include

So read the gain from staying invested as the market’s side of the story, not a verdict on the decision. A redemption that funded a home, a child’s education or an emergency may have been exactly right.

Privacy built in

Your files are read inside your browser and never uploaded to any server. Only fund data is used: your name, PAN, email and address are ignored and never stored. The password only opens the file. When you open this page from the Advanced Portfolio Health Check, the statement already read there is passed over in your browser tab only (it is cleared when the tab is closed), with every PAN replaced by a stand-in.

Terms used on this page

Redemption – selling units of a fund for money paid to your bank, in one go or through a Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP). Switches and Systematic Transfer Plans (STPs) move money between your own funds, so they are not counted as redemptions; nor are IDCW reinvestment, transmission or merger entries.

No-redemption portfolio – your portfolio with every redemption taken out of the statement, so the redeemed units stay invested to the statement date. Everything else stays as it happened.

Amount Received – the money paid out for the redemptions, after STT or TDS where the statement shows it.

Value if Not Redeemed – Formula: value now + units redeemed × NAV on the statement date.

Gain from Staying Invested PortfolioCube Framework – Formula: Value if Not Redeemed − value now − amount received. Above zero means staying invested would have left you better off. Example: you redeemed 1,000 units at a NAV of ₹50 and received ₹50,000; the NAV today is ₹80, so those units would be worth ₹80,000 and the gain from staying invested is ₹30,000 (before exit load and tax).

XIRR – your true annual return, taking the date and size of every investment and withdrawal into account.

CAGR – the compound annual growth rate of an index such as the BSE Sensex or NSE Nifty 50 between two dates.

Alpha – on this page, the no-redemption portfolio’s XIRR minus the index CAGR over the same period, in percentage points.

Wealth Milestones PortfolioCube Framework – twelve marks from ₹5 L to ₹10 Cr, flagged on the chart when the no-redemption portfolio first reached each one.
